Spring Star Flower Collection. Receive 25 of each variety, separately labelled. Includes Star Pale Blue, Star Dark Blue and Star White.

Previously, botanically known as Tritelias, their true name is Ipheion but they are more commonly referred to as Spring Star Flowers. They are oh so easy to grow and very rewarding. Amidst mounding Mondo Grass like foliage, star shaped single flowers bloom on slender stems 15-20cm high. The flowers are produced continually for up to seven weeks! They are great in rockeries, borders, mass plantings or pots. They naturalise with ease and will multiply well.

Flowers early to late spring. 10-20cm H x 5cm W.

Spring Star Flower Cultural Notes

Situation:
Spring Star Flowers grow best in a full sun to semi shade position in a well drained soil. As with most bulbs, we recommend you prepare the soil about a month before planting by working through some well rotted organic matter or a balanced commercial fertiliser. If you miss the gap, not to worry, you can do this at the time of planting.

Time of Planting:
March to May in a moist soil. Plant 5-7cm deep (average three times the height of the bulb) pointy end up, space 10cm apart. Flowers mid to late spring. 20cm H x 10cm W

General Care:
Spring Star Flowers are easily grown and keeping them moist during the growing season, no other special treatment is necessary. They are super easy and will come back year after year without a worry.

Digging & Storing:
Spring Star Flowers can be left in the ground to naturalise. When bulbs have been left in the ground, top dress with some fertiliser each autumn. As required, all these bulbs can be dug after the foliage has died right down. Lift and replant immediately or store in a dry, airy position and replant the following autumn.
