Strawberry, 'Torrey', is an old Californian variety. It is a vigorous grower with good colour and is a tasty Strawberry.

'Torrey' is a good variety for warmer climates like NSW and parts of Qld. Yields well during spring and early summer with firm fruit.

For the home gardener, being able to harvest bowlfuls of fresh, juicy, organic luscious strawberries is a must. Strawberries are good for you too, high in Vitamin C and packed with Antioxidants

Strawberries should be planted in to prepared soil. We recommend digging through some mulch and well rotted manure prior to planting. Strawberries are both easy and rewarding to grow.

Strawberries flourish in well drained, fertile soils and need at least six hours sun a day. It is a good idea to mulch your Strawberries to keep the area free of weeds. You should also protect your Strawberries from slugs, snails and birds. You can expect the most fruits from your plants in the first two year.

Strawberries grow well in pots, vegetable gardens or ornamental beds. The taste of home grown strawberries is so much sweeter than the ones from the supermarket, they are simply irresistible.

Strawberries grow 30cm tall and 30cm wide.
