What would a cottage garden be without a few Delphiniums?

Delphinium 'Pacific Giants' have large florets, each stretching to around 7cm across. The florets open from the base to the tip of the strong stems.

Delphiniums bring an element of height to your cottage garden. The lofty stems of Delphinium 'Pacific Giants' grow up to 1.5m

Their stunning array of colours is easily worked into any scheme. Plant Delphinium 'Pacific Giants' in a humus rich well drained soil. By adding plenty of fertiliser and organic matter to the soil you will have bigger and better blooms. Ensure you protect your Delphiniums from the dastardly snails who find them absolutely delicious, especially the young foliage.

Cut Delphinium flower stems to the ground and fertilise them once they have finished flowering (around January) and you should have a rebloom in autumn.
Delphiniums 'Pacific Giants' grow 1.5-2m tall and 20-50cm wide.
